Godhra. To help farmers become economically prosperous by increasing farm production, the state government has implemented a support scheme for construction of community based ground water tanks under the self-reliant package during the year 2020-21. To avail the benefits of this scheme, the farmers have to apply in groups and the group leader's account as decided by the group will be paid 50 per cent of the cost or Rs 2.50 lakh whichever is less.

  • Under this scheme application has to be made in a group, 50% of the expenditure in the account of the group leader decided by the group or Rs. 3.50 lakh whichever is less. 
  • The unit cost for this scheme will include material including electric room, electric panel board and electric pump / motor with RCC paki underground / storage tank with a capacity of at least 1000 cubic meters. 
  • At least ten hectares of land will have to be covered under irrigation to get assistance in the scheme. 
  • In which a group of five (05) or more farmers is formed, any one of them will have to make a stitch in the farmer's field. 
  • The benefit of the scheme can be given only to all the farmer account holders of the group who have adopted micro irrigation system / sprinkler system to support the scheme.

How to apply::


After applying online to avail the benefit of this scheme, the application in the form of application as per Appendix-1 which has to be submitted in the office of the District Agriculture Officer of that district. Under this scheme, farmers will be able to form a contract group by consensus.

There will be no need for separate registration for this, formation of contract based group as well as group beneficiaries will have to unanimously select one farmer as group leader and the certificate as per Part-I of Appendix-1 will be issued by the group leader for Rs. 100 / - stamp paper / bank franking and notarized application should be submitted along with supporting evidence.
